Your mission:
As a Chapter Lead for the Architect Chapter, you will lead and manage a team of architects responsible for middleware squads delivering advanced IT services within the Cosmos project. You will play a critical role in defining and implementing architecture strategies, aligning them with organizational objectives, and ensuring middleware solutions meet high-quality standards for scalability, availability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Team Development:
* Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of architects, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Provide strategic guidance to ensure alignment between architecture solutions and the organization’s goals.
* Support architects in their professional development and career growth, ensuring skills match current and future Cosmos challenges.
2. Middleware Architecture Management:
* Oversee the design and development of middleware solutions to ensure they meet functional, technical, and security requirements.
* Define and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and governance frameworks for middleware technologies.
* Work closely with middleware squads to ensure that architectural designs are properly implemented and maintained.
3. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination:
* Collaborate with other chapter leads, product owners, and squad members to align architecture objectives with overall project goals.
* Coordinate with stakeholders, including DIGIT management and external teams, to address dependencies and ensure alignment with business needs.
* Facilitate knowledge sharing and communication between middleware architects and other technical teams.
4. Continuous Improvement:
* Drive initiatives to optimize middleware architecture for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
* Identify and implement emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance middleware services and capabilities.
* Conduct regular architecture reviews to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
5. Stakeholder Engagement:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for middleware architecture-related queries and decisions.
* Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on architecture strategies, progress, and challenges.
* Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure middleware solutions align with consumer needs and expectations.
Your profile:
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
* Extensive experience (min 7 years) in IT architecture, with a focus on middleware solutions.
* Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage, mentor, and develop technical teams.
* Strong expertise in middleware technologies such as WebLogic, API Gateway, and containerization platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
* Solid understanding of Agile and SAFe methodologies and their application in architecture design and development.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Requirements:
* EU citizenship.
* Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in any other European language is a plus.
* Experience in a public administration or similarly complex environment is desirable.
