Who will you be joining?
The Independent Risk Management function within Allianz SE’s Group Risk team, specifically responsible for overseeing the reinsurance business at Allianz Reinsurance.
Among many other topics, this team focuses on a range of quantitative risk management techniques, including:
* Solvency II Internal Model and Standard Formula calculations for reinsurance units, with a focus on Property & Casualty (P/C) business
* Movement analysis and justification of model results
* Model governance to remain and improve the quality of the Internal Model
* Accumulation management including limit settings and monitoring
* Developing and maintaining strategic risk/return frameworks for various business segments for risk-capital-based steering
* Ad hoc project work
How can you make an impact?
You will:
* Manage, within a team of experts, a broad range of quantitative risk management topics in close collaboration with AZ Group centers as well as local Allianz Reinsurance risk and actuarial teams
* Review, assess, quality assure and opine on internal model assumptions, parameters and results as well as model governance
* Develop and Maintain risk capital based steering mechanisms
* Determination of required capital (risk capital modelling) and counsel on transactions for optimizing the capital structure
* Promote Risk culture within Allianz Reinsurance
* Maintain and enhance limit monitoring concept within Allianz Reinsurance in close co-operation with several other functions
* Support in reporting requirements like ORSA or SFCR
* Develop tailored RC impact analysis to reflect impact of complex reinsurance solutions within Internal Model for supporting decision making
* Constantly reflect on emerging risks and their reflection in internal models and risk management systems
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications:
* Strong background in reinsurance or insurance industry, ideally non-life
* Minimum 5 years work experience
* Strong analytical skills, ability to develop and present concepts
* Certified Actuary
* Fluent in English
* Strong ability to translate mathematical analysis into business impact conclusion leveraging on risk capital considerations
* High degree of curiosity and ability to propose solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
* Background in Risk Management and particularly Solvency II
* Strong presentation skills of highly complex subjects
* International experience
* Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
