RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical feasibility testing of variants and project applications as well as feedback of results to meet the customer's technical and pricing requirements. Cooperates in the creation of a device architecture/platform and design engineering for components and products to guarantee the required function or implementation of robust, flexible and high-quality software/hardware. Implementing engineering projects in accordance with the “SPDL”, “OW” and “CPOH” processes of the Bürkert Process Map. Ensuring the transfer of expertise to the relevant processes (especially SPDL, OW, CQ) to avoid generating recurring errors in the products and processes. Actively cooperating as part of the Bürkert processes and functions (especially quality, development, SAM, procurement, approvals, plants, Systemhaus) to support optimum series launch. Maintaining and developing the product and system portfolio in consultation with Application Management, also with regard to profitability and supply reliability (production, approval, project costs, variant management, etc.). Creating and maintaining the corresponding project/product documentation and product master data to guarantee project delivery in compliance with scheduling, budgetary and quality parameters. Identifying, coordinating and implementing continuous improvement in accordance with the PDCA cycle (product, process, etc.), support for internal/external fault analyses (process & product) to facilitate the derivation of optimisation measures, sustainable testing of effectiveness of measures to permanently resolve errors. Using modelling and simulation techniques to improve quality and reduce development times. Establishing or maintaining the technical prerequisites for product approvals and working to help secure new approvals. Managing the process for acquisition of product conformity together with the commissioners from Approval Management. Providing support and technical advice for sales. Enquiring about and understanding the customer's technical requirements in order to develop a specification and to implement it in the context of project work as a solution of benefit for the customer. Monitoring relevant technology development in order to offer innovative solutions. Managing variants while taking account of STO, CTO, CTO, ETO during development and throughout the product life cycle. E&C: Supporting CQ in identifying solutions to complaints.
