Description At Hapag-Lloyd, the Network and Cooperations team plays a vital role in designing, maintaining, and optimizing our global Ship Systems. We are looking for a proactive and dynamic Manager, Network & Cooperations – Gemini Shuttle Network & Feeder Network to strengthen our position in these fast-paced markets. In this exciting role, you will have the unique opportunity to be a part of the Gemini Cooperation, driving the success of the Shuttle Network. You will also oversee our Feeder Network, designing new services optimizing existing routes, and contributing to the growth and expansion of our presence in the Intra Trades. In this role, you will closely collaborate with stakeholders such as Trade Management, Procurement, Regional teams, Network Execution, Equipment, and more. You will utilize your creativity and analytical skills to design and optimize services, ensuring a reliable and profitable product. Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed cost studies comparing service solutions and providing clear recommendations for the best course of action. You will also negotiate with partner lines to safeguard Hapag-Lloyd’s interests within VSA/SCA agreements, while building strong and sustainable relationships for the future. Intra Asia, Intra Europe and Intra Middle East are dynamic trades, requiring resilience to frequent network changes as we work towards our S2030 goals. You won’t be alone in this exciting journey – you will be part of our Intra Europe/Intra Middle East/Intra Asia team within the Network & Cooperations department, working alongside 60 colleagues. Responsibilities • Development and optimisation of proforma schedules • Preparation of product studies and consortium meetings • Participation in the development and negotiation of consortium agreements • Maintain long term schedules and allocation tables • Actively monitoring schedule compliance, coordinate and implement corrective measures together with Network Execution • Monitor execution of the VSA and SCA agreements by partners, both operational and financial • Analysis of competitors’ service structures • Development and optimisation of internal processes • Actively participate in the development and optimization of the department’s own processes, reporting’s, IT tools, etc • Maintain service data in relevant systems Qualifications • Successfully completed training as a shipping merchant, a Bachelor/Master degree in Maritime Operations / Maritime Business or other relevant field, or similar level in working experience • Relevant experience in the shipping industry • Strong communication skills in Englisch • Proactive, analytical and structured way of working • Responsible, reliable, result-oriented and team-oriented personality • Goal-oriented motivation, high level of initiative and assertiveness • Ability to work under pressure and high flexibility • Good MS Office skills
