The Mission We are looking for a talented and versatile Senior UX/UI Designer to become a part of our team at OroraTech. The perfect candidate will be a full-stack designer with a strong focus on UX, responsible for managing the entire design process from user research and wireframing to UI design. This crucial role ensures that our SaaS products provide exceptional user experiences that support our goal of promoting climate resilience with ongoing thermal data from space. You will lead our design technology stack and work in close collaboration with our product and engineering teams. This role offers a significant opportunity to shape the design vision and strategy across our product suite, impacting product evolution and enhancing user experiences worldwide. Initially, this position does not include direct leadership duties, but there is a clear path to a managerial role as OroraTech expands. What you’ll be doing Lead UX/UI design efforts across all aspects of our web-based SaaS products. Take full ownership of the design process, from user research to wireframing, prototyping, and UI design. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, in an agile environment. Lead the user research, usability testing, and data analysis to drive design decisions and improve product usability. Create and maintain a robust design system that defines UI components, style guides, and usage conventions. Manage and optimize our design workflows, research techniques, and tools to ensure they are efficient and effective. Continuously explore new design methodologies and technologies to enhance the user experience. Relevant Skills Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in UX/UI design, with a proven track record of delivering outstanding UX for SaaS products. University degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Product Design, Interaction Design or similar. Proficiency in Figma and other relevant design tools. A strong portfolio demonstrating your experience in designing complex SaaS products, with case studies highlighting your approach to UX design. Success in collaborating effectively with engineers and working within agile processes. Clear communication skills, able to articulate design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (German is a plus, but not essential). Plus: Basic knowledge of software development and experience with iterative/agile design sprints.
