Your tasks
1. You support complex M&A transactions and lead financial due diligence projects (buy- and sell-side) including analysis and presentation of historical and projected financial performance of businesses, as well as coordinating business valuations.
2. You assist in negotiating key contractual clauses, particularly regarding purchase price adjustments and closing mechanisms.
3. You manage and direct external financial advisors on a project-by-project basis.
4. You perform and continuously enhance corporate valuation principles with an eye for detail and precision.
5. You monitor the capex budget, ensuring efficient capital allocation to guarantee sustainable value creation.
6. In addition, you conduct reviews of investment and acquisition projects to evaluate their success and implementation.
7. Applying your expertise, you develop and improve capital allocation and tracking tools for the group, ensuring adherence to corporate governance and compliance standards.
8. You handle ad-hoc requests from the CFO with care and efficiency, including the creation of in-depth scenario analyses to support strategic decision-making.
9. Last but not least, you work closely with various parts of the Fresenius group globally such as Corporate Development, Accounting, Controlling, Tax, Treasury, and the business units.
Your profile
10. An above-average university degree in business administration or a comparable subject, ideally complemented by professional certifications or a PhD.
11. At least 3 years of experience, preferably as an M&A or financial due diligence consultant within a Big Four firm, or alternatively in M&A controlling at an international company.
12. Knowledge of the healthcare business is a plus.
13. Strong knowledge of M&A contracts, purchase price mechanisms, valuation methodologies, and IFRS.
14. Excellent analytical capabilities and a deep understanding of financial interrelations and accounting principles.
15. Outstanding communication skills in business fluent English, German as a plus, and the ability to confidently interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
16. A proactive, analytical, and assertive personality with a strong hands-on mentality and a high level of motivation.
