Reporting to the Oberalp Group’s CEO, the Dynafit Brand Director will lead Marketing, Design, and Product Management across multiple product categories, including ski touring equipment (skis, bindings, boots), trail running footwear, technical apparel, and mountaineering gear. This role demands a strategic leader with a deep understanding of global brand management and an endless passion for the mountains. The ideal candidate will enhance Dynafit's market position, drive innovation, and accelerate international growth—all while staying true to our brand's DNA of speed, endurance, and alpine performance.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Management:
* Develop and execute the overall brand strategy to drive growth, market share, and brand equity
* Develop and execute strategic seasonal briefings to enhance positioning and profitability across all product categories
* Manage the P&L for the Dynafit Brand, driving sustainable growth and profitability
* Ensure cohesive execution of business objectives through collaboration with the different sales channels/geographies and product development/supply chain in the product divisions with the goal to deliver innovative, high-quality products that exceed consumer demands
* Ensure consistent brand messaging across all sales channels (retail, wholesale, eCommerce) through collaboration with the Sales teams
* Oversee the brand’s performance in international markets, ensuring consistent brand messaging and positioning and work with regional teams to adapt strategies to local market needs
Product Management:
* Identify and drive opportunities for growth and improvement through analysis of market trends, consumer behavior and competitor activities
* Ensure profitability across all product categories through effective pricing, cost management, and product strategies
* Oversee product management across all categories, ensuring alignment with market trends and competitive innovations
* Monitor product performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize the product portfolio
* Ensure collaboration with design and product development teams to create innovative products aligned with outdoor industry trends
Marketing:
* Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with Dynafit’s brand vision and business goals
* Manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation for maximum impact
* Oversee content creation and brand campaigns to enhance visibility, engagement, and brand awareness
* Lead communication and PR efforts, including media relations, social media, and community engagement
* Act as the primary spokesperson for the brand in media interactions and public appearances
* Drive product and sport marketing, including product launches, sponsorships, athlete partnerships, and event marketing
* Develop trade marketing strategies to support retail partners and optimize in-store brand presence
* Align marketing initiatives with sales objectives through collaboration with sales teams and external partners
Team Leadership:
* Build, develop, and manage a high-performing team of marketing, design and product management professionals
* Establish clear performance metrics and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure team goals are met
* Lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
* Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to align brand and marketing strategies with overall business goals
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or product management within the outdoor or sporting goods industry
* Deep market knowledge and understanding of consumer behavior and preferences within the outdoor industry
* Proven track record of success in brand management and leading international marketing strategies
* Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
* Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in public speaking and media relations
* Passion for the outdoor and mountaineering sports and lifestyle
* Excellent English, in addition fluent German is an advantage
