Associate Director - Building World Class Teams within Sustainability & Climate Investment
A rapidly growing AI SaaS business focused entirely on the sustainability and ESG space, with a recent valuation of $500 million and backed by leading VC/PE Softbank, with over $100 million in total funding, is looking for a Director of DACH Sales to lead and grow their already extremely well-established DACH presence.
With a global HQ in New York City and a European HQ in London, with offices in Paris, Germany, and the Nordics, this company services global buy-side organizations, such as PE/VC, Investment Banks, and Asset Managers, as they look to make large investments into the ESG and sustainability world.
They are growing rapidly: on top of a DACH Director, they are looking for a head of Nordics, multiple sales staff in France and the UK, as well as more AI/ML engineers.
Widely recognized as the global leader in sustainability technology, they have built an AI-powered automated data collection, reporting, and analytics platform that investors use to make smart & sustainable investments into climate tech, as well as corporate research, regulatory compliance, and e-commerce.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the DACH Sales teams' operations and strategies, but also delivering $1.25 million in personal revenue for the company.
Responsibilities
* Personally driving $1.25M+ of new net revenue over the first fiscal year, developing new relationships through outbound sales activities and networking, supported by marketing.
* Building and developing relationships and identifying opportunities with an account-based sales approach.
* Managing, coaching, and leading a sales team after proven success as an individual contributor, with a defined career path.
* Expanding our reach and brand awareness in the DACH region.
Qualifications
* Proven ability to challenge and overcome large incumbent competitors.
* 15+ years of sales experience.
* Experience utilizing a CRM to manage team sales tasks, pipeline, and closing.
* Proven experience in selling data and tech solutions to Asset Management, Wealth Management, and Asset Owners.
* Knowledge of the ESG market in the DACH region.
* Self-starter, able to take ownership and initiative, with high energy and stamina.
* Decisive and action-oriented, able to make rapid decisions even when they are short of information.
* Highly motivated, independent, and deeply passionate about sustainability and impact.
* Native German-speaker, Swiss German is a plus.
* Excellent oral and written English communication skills (minimum C1 level-proficient user).
