TAX DIVISIONWe are a team of professionals based in London and Frankfurt who serve the firm''s European tax requirements. This team comprises of tax consultants, accountants and lawyers and is responsible for all aspects of the firm''s tax affairs, including structuring, managing and overseeing compliance, tax planning and advice in relation to remuneration and employee tax matters.Within the Frankfurt Tax Department, we are seeking an Executive Director to work with senior Goldman Sachs tax professionals to oversee the tax compliance responsibilities and tax reporting of the Goldman Sachs entities and branches in continental EMEA. In addition, further assistance will be required in the area of EMEA project management. The role is extremely broad and will require you to build on your existing tax knowledge to assist the team, as well as working on other ad hoc projects. Principal responsibilitiesOverseeing the tax filing, tax reporting and tax payment obligations for entities and branches in continental EMEA Analysing and managing the entities and branches tax positions and tax risks according to different accounting standards for the relevant entities and branchesEnsuring timely and accurate closing process including management of the relevant entities and branches current and deferred taxes and the reporting to US headquarterOverseeing transfer pricing requirements for the entities and branches in continental EMEAImplementation, monitoring and improvement of the Tax Compliance Management System (TCMS)Preparing and maintaining documentation to support tax processes undertaken in the different EMEA officesPartnering with international group functions, providing tax input and advice during cross-functional projects and restructuringsManaging tax audits and develop defence strategies for tax auditsKeeping strong relations with tax authorities and regulatorsActively monitoring external developments and analysing their relevance for Goldman Sachs Managing a team of 2-3 colleaguesExperience/skills required Completed degree in Tax, Business Administration, Finance or similarAt least 5 years of profound working experience in tax accounting, tax advisory, or in an in-house tax department.
