The professorship is linked to the management of the "General Business Administration and Business Informatics I" department of the Institute of Business Administration. The holder of the professorship is expected to be particularly involved in the training of business information technology specialists and technically oriented business economists and to represent the field of business information technology in its entirety. He or she should also be willing to participate in the basic business administration training of students.
The methodological approach in research should focus on the area of design-oriented business information technology. In terms of content, a focus on the areas of business intelligence and business analytics in the application areas of industry and services is expected.
We are searching for an individual who is distinguished by high-ranking scientific publications with international visibility. In addition, appropriate pedagogical aptitude is required. International networking and the willingness and ability to teach courses in German and in English are required. The future post holder is also expected to be willing to work in an interdisciplinary manner within the University of Stuttgart and to actively participate in the interdisciplinary Graduate School of Excellence Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (GSaME). For a qualitative assessment of your academic accomplishments, we kindly ask you to submit a short description of your three most important scientific achievements, which should be no longer than one page in total. Possible successes may include, for example, those in the fields of research, teaching, science and society, knowledge and technology transfer, inventions and patents, software development or spin-offs.
