We are now looking for a
Chief Product Officer NACOS Marine (m/f/d)
to join our team working for a better future on a permanent basis.
The preferred location for the position is in Hamburg, Germany and we anticipate a high degree of travel within the role, as much as 40%.
What you will be doing
As Chief Product Officer your work will focus on these responsibilities:
* Product Strategy & Leadership:
o Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with company goals.
o Define and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with market needs and technological advancements.
o Lead cross-functional collaboration between R&D, engineering, sales, marketing, and customer support teams.
o Ensure a balance between innovation, user experience, regulatory compliance, and commercial viability.
* Research & Development Oversight:
o Drive R&D initiatives to foster innovation and maintain technological leadership.
o Oversee the development of advanced automation and navigation solutions.
o Ensure that R&D efforts are customer-driven, with a focus on usability, reliability, and scalability.
o Optimize R&D processes to enhance efficiency, reduce time-to-market, and control costs.
* Product Commercialization:
o Develop go-to-market strategies for new and existing products.
o Collaborate with sales, marketing, and business development teams to drive market adoption.
o Identify and evaluate market opportunities, competitive landscape, and pricing strategies.
o Establish partnerships and alliances to expand product reach and drive revenue growth.
* Team Leadership & Culture:
o Build and mentor a high-performing product and R&D team.
o Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
o Ensure clear communication of product vision, priorities, and success metrics across the organization.
o Promote an agile and customer-centric approach to product development.
You will shine in this role when you have:
* 10+ years of experience in product leadership, with a strong background in both R&D and commercialization.
* Proven track record in the maritime, automation, or high-tech industry.
* Deep understanding of maritime technologies, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics.
* Strong leadership and organizational skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
* Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* Strong business acumen with a focus on driving revenue and market expansion.
* Experience with agile methodologies and product management frameworks.
* Advanced degree in engineering, business, or a related field preferred.
