Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
1. You will lead a cross-functional team of 9 software engineers responsible for software systems engineering, software integration, and development of the software infrastructure for modality consoles and remote update.
2. You ensure a seamless software integration flow within our continuous delivery pipeline.
3. You champion systems thinking and modern software engineering practices
4. You will collaborate with product management, clinical stakeholders, hardware teams, and regulatory experts to align on system-level goals, constraints, and non-functional requirements.
5. You will support strategic planning, technology roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your qualifications and experience:
6. You have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
7. You have many years of experience in software systems engineering, ideally in the medical device or imaging domain.
8. You have a solid understanding of MRI systems or other complex, safety-critical software-hardware systems.
9. You have a strong knowledge of systems engineering processes, including requirements engineering, system and software architecture.
10. You are familiar with medical device regulations (FDA, MDR) and standards (IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971).
