Job Purpose Your role as Head of IT Economics is to provide the framework for steering IT change and run spend. You support the different business owners in the construction of their IT budget, steer and report on their budget along the year, coordinate involved teams (AZ Technology, AZ Direct Platform and AZ Direct Finance) and maintain the dialogue with all stakeholders to resolve cost issues. One of the key tasks will be to drive the analysis for our IT cost structure (people, licenses & contracts, hardware) to propose and follow-up on performance improvement plans. The Head of IT Economics guides junior colleagues (IT Economics Analyst) in daily tasks as well as project assignments and supports their personal development. The Head of IT Economics role is part of the COO Function of AZ Direct and is reporting to the Chief Information Office (CIO). Key responsibilities The Head of IT Economics is responsible for: Productivity & Steering, i.e. define with CIO and AZ Direct Board of Management the strategy and direction of IT costs and the key levers to influence cost development. Translate this strategy into yearly IT budgets IT Spend and Benefit Controlling, i.e., maintaining required processes to conduct operational controlling of IT spend & associated benefit for Allianz Direct globally: Budget planning & forecasting Support IT budget owners in all commercial aspects Business Benefit tracking IT Workforce management: internal & external personnel spend and productivity IT service providers spend Workplace, Information Security and other spend IT Reporting, i.e., preparing and delivering regular reporting (Spend, Cost, Benefit, FTE, KPIs) for internal steering purposes, as well as reporting to various stakeholders within Allianz Group IT Cost management, i.e., preparing analysis and managing cost optimization activities to maximize value of commodity technology services consumed by Allianz Direct. This includes analyzing cost drivers of internal and external service providers and developing recommendations to the CIO/ COO in accordance with financial targets. IT Economics process mapping and optimization, i.e. contributing to the continuous improvement and comprehensiveness of the IT Economics process landscape, as well as alignment with relevant stakeholders.
