RESPONSIBILITIES
BASF Renewable Energy GmbH (BREn) has been established to bundle activities within BASF Group pertaining to the sourcing, trading and distribution of renewable energy. Hence, BREn is a central element of BASF Group’s transformation towards net-zero emissions.
1. You will take responsibilty for IT-technical implementation and support of balancing group management for power including balancing and nomination management as well as potentially energy data management.
2. In addition, you will be accountable for the successful execution and ongoing technical assistance of power exchanges and bid processes from an IT-technical perspective
3. You will setup the Front Office IT System (eRisk Power), ETRM interfaces and will take over the project work such as supporting of site development projects.
4. Furthermore, you will participate in the conceptual strategies and further development of energy logistics processes and IT systems.
5. The integration and expansion of balancing group management and market access via BASF Renewable Energy as a service for customers is also part of your tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
6. completed university studies (energy management, electrical / mechanical engineering, business informatics / computer science, economics or comparable) or commercial vocational training
7. experience in the energy industry and/or balancing group management
8. excellent knowledge about power markets and regulations in EU countries as well as understanding of IT systems and interfaces
9. experience in and understanding balancing regulation
10. strong leadership and team management skills
11. high degree of personal responsibility and high attention to detail
12. proven time management skills, able to work effectively under pressure, and consistently reliable
13. effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in German and English, fluency in any other EU language is a plus as well as ability to translate complex technical information into non-technical language
