The Position We are seeking you as a highly motivated and innovative Post Doc to join our Drug metabolism and Pharmacokinetics department. You will be an integral part of our multidisciplinary teams and support model-informed decision making in and beyond drug development. You will live our "learn-and-confirm" mentality and strongly interact with all drug metabolism and pharmacokinetic disciplines as well as pharmaceutical development units within our international project teams. Tasks & responsibilities - In your new role, you will apply pharmacometric approaches, such as compartmental pharmacokinetic modeling and physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling, to integrate in vitro and in vivo nonclinical data for predicting pharmacokinetics of new therapeutic modalities and formulation principles with focus on intravitreal application. - Moreover, you will identify the interrelationships between the physicochemical properties of a drug, formulation parameters, and pharmacokinetics after drug administration in both nonclinical and clinical settings. - To communicate and present your findings, you will utilize appropriate data analysis techniques and visualization tools. - Furthermore, you will contribute to informed decision-making and strategy for early formulation development. - Additionally, you will interpret and communicate your results to an interdisciplinary audience and experts in the field. Requirements - PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy, Pharmacometrics, or related fields - Hands-on experience and expertise in standard PBPK modeling platforms (e.g., GastroPlus or PK-SIM) and in compartmental pharmacokinetic analyses - In-depth knowledge of pharmacokinetic processes and the impact of physiological parameters - Basic knowledge of drug development, ADME, formulation development, biopharmaceutics, and biology/physiology - Basic knowledge of physiology of the eye and/or formulation development for intravitreal application would be helpful - Scientific experience and the ability to review scientific literature - Strong teamwork skills with independent working style, high level of initiative, reliability, and readiness to take on responsibility - Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation abilities in both English and German Ready to contact us?
