Your mission :
The Chargeback Business Analyst plays an important role in the European Commission in helping in managing, analysing, and improving chargeback and showback processes. This role involves ensuring accurate cost allocation, proven data quality, driving transparency, and providing actionable insights to stakeholders. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled in turning data analysis into improved implementation of the different charge processes that align with the European Commission 's goals of fostering collaboration and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement and manage the showback and chargeback processes for the European Commission services
* Identify and implement process enhancements to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of chargeback processes.
* Ensure compliance with data quality standards across all implemented chargeback processes
* Support the Finops manager in implementation of standards and governance framework
* Align chargeback methodologies with the European Commission 's commitment to sharing experiences and transitioning beyond task-based management.
* Analyse and evaluate potential chargeback impacts resulting from operational or functional changes.
* Provide clear guidance and support to stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the chargeback/showback processes.
* Work closely with cross-functional and units teams, including Services Owners, Centre of Excellence and DIGIT Financial unit to collect and validate data.
* Act as point of contact for chargeback-related inquiries, resolving issues proactively and fostering a collaborative approach.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date chargeback documentation for processes, methodologies and key metrics.
* Generate reports and dashboards related to the European Commission services for stakeholders, providing clear visibility into chargeback allocations.
Your profile :
Required Skills & Experience:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in financial topics and analysis, chargeback processes, or related roles.
* Strong understanding of CMDB data models (legacy and Cloud based) and their related services.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Prior experience working in service-driven organizations or shared services is preferred.
* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel tools or BI usage.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging stakeholders.
* Ability to think proactively and align tasks with DIGIT’s priorities.
* A problem-solver with a keen eye for process improvement and efficiency.
* Work independently and rigorously.
* Experience in Oracle SLQ usage
Preferred Qualifications:
* Some certifications are a plus:
o Certification in Business Analyze
o FinOps Certified Practitioner
o Cloud platform-specific certification (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
* Experience in Agile tools: boards management such as Kanban, scrum, etc…
Requirements:
* EU citizenship.
* Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in any other European language is a plus.
