Role Overview
As the Director of Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and scalability of B2B solutions. You will be responsible for establishing and executing comprehensive growth marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness, generate high-quality leads, and ultimately increase Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).
This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in growth marketing, capable of building the marketing function from scratch and leading it to achieve ambitious business objectives. Additionally, you will oversee the planning and management of corporate events to bolster market presence and lead generation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and Implement Growth Marketing Strategies
o Design and execute a comprehensive growth marketing plan aligned with the company’s ARR goals.
o Define clear marketing objectives, KPIs, and metrics to measure success.
o Identify and optimize marketing channels (e.g., digital, email, content, social media) to maximize lead generation and conversion rates.
o Implement growth hacking techniques and A/B testing to continuously improve campaign performance.
2. Lead Generation and Customer Acquisition
o Campaign Management:
+ Design, execute, and monitor multi-channel marketing campaigns to drive lead generation and customer acquisition.
+ Utilize SEO, SEM, content marketing, and paid advertising to increase online visibility and attract high-quality leads.
o Lead Nurturing:
+ Develop and manage lead nurturing programs to guide prospects through the sales funnel and convert them into paying customers.
3. Event Planning and Management
o Identify key industry events, conferences, that provide opportunities for brand exposure and lead generation.
4. Digital Marketing and Analytics
o Oversee digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, social media, and content marketing initiatives.
o Utilize data-driven insights to refine and enhance digital marketing strategies continuously.
o Performance Tracking:
+ Implement and manage marketing analytics tools to track and analyze campaign performance and overall marketing effectiveness.
+ Generate reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to the executive team.
5. Content and Brand Development
o Develop a content strategy that educates, engages, and converts the target audience.
o Create high-quality content, including blogs, whitepapers, case studies, webinars, and video content.
o Brand Positioning:
+ Define and refine the company’s brand identity, messaging, and positioning in the market.
+ Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels and materials.
6. Team Building and Leadership
o Recruitment and Development:
+ Hire, train, and mentor a high-performing marketing team as the organization grows.
o Cross-Functional Collaboration:
+ Work closely with Sales, Product, Finance, and Customer Success teams to ensure cohesive and integrated growth strategies.
7. Budget Management and Resource Allocation
o Budget Planning:
+ Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to various growth initiatives.
+ Monitor and report on budget expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality or effectiveness.
8. Market Research and Competitive Analysis
o Analyze competitor strategies and positioning to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
9. External Communications
o Event Representation:
+ Represent the company at high-profile events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote the company’s offerings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
* 7+ years of marketing experience with significant experience in managing marketing teams and executing growth strategies.
* Proven experience within the B2B sector.
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot).
* Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and best practices.
* Expertise in data analysis and marketing analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau).
