The Global Sourcing and Procurement function at Allianz SE, the holding company of the Group, is responsible for managing the procurement activities of Allianz Group on a global scale. We are seeking a Head of Regional Procurement Coordination to lead the strategic procurement activities for our Operation Entities. In this position you will oversee all Heads of Procurement of our Operating Entities worldwide and will report directly to the Allianz Group Chief Procurement Officer. How can you make an impact? You will be responsible for: Team Management: Lead and manage all Heads of Procurement worldwide including target setting, group strategy implementation, team development and fostering a collaborative global work environment Strategic Procurement: Implement the global procurement strategy for NON-IT, including Professional Services, Marketing, Facility Management and Insurance, in alignment with the Group's overall objectives. Manage local categories and ideally integrate them in global category strategies Project Management and Savings generation: being accountable for major local sourcing projects and assuring their successful implementation Procurement Process Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry best practices, compliance with relevant regulations and internal rules, and contribute to the upgrade and transformation of the overall procurement practice Supplier Management: Support the implementation of global suppliers and global contracts for local demands. Reduce the amount of local suppliers Contract Management: Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and execution of procurement contracts, ensuring clarity and compliance with regulatory, safeguarding and other company requirements Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize purchases while maintaining quality standards, driving cost reduction initiatives, and monitoring spend patterns Risk Management: Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with local procurement activities, implementing appropriate risk management strategies Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with COOs, CFOs, CEOs, and key leaders of operating entities to ensure alignment and stakeholder engagement Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, Finance, and Operations, to understand their requirements and align procurement activities accordingly Regularly report on key procurement metrics, savings achieved, and outline potential opportunities for improvement What are you made of? Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management) Proven multi-year experience in strategic procurement, preferably in the financial sector, with a focus on NON IT categories, and an international span of work Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing managers and teams Demonstrated experience in strategic procurement planning, contract management, and supplier relationship management Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, at senior level (e.g. Sales Directors of companies, COOs/CFOs/CEOs of Group companies Proficient in English (both written and spoken) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements Sound knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices, third-party risk management, and compliance requirements Experience in managing a significant procurement spend is required Ability to frequent travel internationally as required Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus Do we have what you need?
