We are looking for a
CMDB Consultant (m/f/d)
(unlimited, full-time) Join our team at our location in Berlin, Verl or Tallin – flexible working conditions are available.
What will be your challenge in the role:
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company's CMDB in alignment with best practices and regulatory frameworks, such as DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act), GDPR, and ISO 27001. This role involves collaborating with various IT and business stakeholders to enhance configuration management processes and support IT service management initiatives. You will ensure the CMDB is not only technically effective but also supports compliance with IT security and operational resilience standards.
Your daily tasks will include:
CMDB Management:
Develop, implement, and maintain the CMDB and associated processes based on business and regulatory requirements.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the CMDB by establishing and enforcing data standards.
Perform regular audits and reconciliation of CMDB data to ensure completeness and correctness.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement continuous improvements to CMDB processes and tools, such as automations
Collaborate with ITSM process owners to integrate the CMDB with other ITSM processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with IT teams, service owners, and business units to gather and validate configuration data.
Provide training and guidance to stakeholders on CMDB processes and best practices.
Tool Administration:
Administer and configure CMDB tools and related technologies.
Develop and maintain documentation for CMDB procedures, policies, and tools.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate and distribute regular reports on CMDB data quality and compliance.
Analyze configuration data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications we are looking for:
Proven experience as a CMDB Consultant or similar role
Hands-on experience with CMDB tools (e.g. Jira Assets)
Proficiency with Atlassian Cloud Tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Product Discovery, …)
Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks, particularly Configuration Management processes.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as DORA, GDPR, and ISO 27001, and their impact on IT operations.

Skills:
Strong expertise in data modeling, relationship mapping, and discovery tools.
Familiarity with IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, applications, and cloud technologies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with various stakeholders.
Experience with scripting or programming languages (nice to have).
