Our client, a leader in the logistics field, is seeking a proficient Air Import/Export Coordinator for their Hamburg office. Key Responsibilities:
1. Spearhead the entire cycle of air import and export shipments, ensuring meticulous coordination and execution.
2. Maintain proactive communication channels with clients, airlines, and international agents to guarantee efficient cargo movement.
3. Determine the most cost-effective and efficient routing for shipments, balancing speed with economy.
4. Facilitate all necessary arrangements for the transfer of goods to and from the airport.
5. Handle the preparation and verification of essential documentation for customs and regulatory compliance.
6. Implement robust tracking systems to ensure timely updates on cargo status and expedited delivery.
7. Accurately manage billing procedures and perform financial reporting for invoicing using the Transport Management System (TMS).
8. Coordinate with internal departments to promptly resolve operational issues in accordance with company standards.
9. Meet established KPIs and handle a consistent workload in line with monthly targets.
10. Regularly liaise with global offices and clients to support file accuracy and contribute to periodic reporting.
11. Adhere to stringent operational KPIs, including but not limited to, timely documentation and shipment notifications.
12. Participate in ongoing training and development programs as directed by the company.
13. Take on additional responsibilities as needed, as directed by management.
Requirements:
14. In-depth understanding of air freight logistics, including regulatory requirements and documentation for international trade.
15. Proven ability to multitask and manage priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
16. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate both verbally and in writing.
17. Strong organizational skills, with an aptitude for managing detailed tasks.
Education & Qualifications:
18. Proficiency in international shipping regulations and the handling of various commodities.
19. Familiarity with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other compliance protocols.
20. Knowledge of air cargo industry standards and procedures.
21. A minimum of 3 years of experience in an air import/export role within the logistics sector.
