Your responsibilities
1. Manage commodity market risk across Uniper’s Green Power and Asset portfolios: Analyse exposures, synergies, diversification and concentration risk for commercial and hedging strategies
2. Liaise with other risk functions, e.g. Credit and Liquidity Risk, to assess risk implications of strategies or deals holistically
3. Perform daily active risk management, being close to markets, portfolios and front office teams
4. Define, align and support implementation of market risk mitigation strategies
5. Conduct scenario analysis and stress tests, and assess risks beyond the current risk metrics by actively collaborating with, among others, the Quantitative Methods team
6. Understand and analyze volume and shape risks associated with green generation, derive and communicate implications but also mitigation measures proactively
7. Build a solid, commercially oriented, cooperative environment with involved functions, encourage cross-team cooperation and communication on portfolio questions
8. Understand front to end processes and work effectively across all levels of the organization to develop improvements, promote dialogue and drive cooperation
Your profile
9. Educated to a degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject: e.g. engineering, economics, mathematics; additional commercial or risk management qualification advantageous
10. Minimum of five years’ experience in a trading, optimization or risk management function
11. Detailed knowledge of physical and financial energy markets
12. Ability to engage in balanced and independent interaction with commercial teams
13. Commercially oriented individual with strong focus on accuracy and attention to details
14. Proficient with SQL and Python based data modelling
15. Proactive, good communicator and strong team player with experience of working in an international and multicultural team
16. Fluent in English (additional languages welcome)
