We are offering an exciting opportunity for the position of Head of Regional Account Development EMEA. In this position you will play a crucial role in shaping our regional account development function. In this strategic leadership position, you will provide critical input and lead the implementation of functional strategies designed to expand and maintain our customer base. Your mission will be to deliver net growth, enhance revenue, drive profitability, and achieve service targets for our key accounts, all while aligning with our regional strategy and financial objectives.
Responsibilities
* Define regional key account strategy for large and fast-growing accounts, including planning, revenue targets, and service goals, in line with business strategy and Group guidelines.
* Lead strategic initiatives across the region that significantly impact results and manage high business risks.
* Drive retention and growth of key accounts, focusing on market acquisition, sales results, and profitability.
* Engage with senior management of key accounts to support business development and transformational deals.
* Guide collaboration within regional key accounts and promote cross-selling activities.
* Identify and understand market trends and customer needs, translating them into effective product solutions.
* Implement world-class account management practices at the regional level.
* Build strong relationships with senior DHL leaders and effectively influence key stakeholders.
* Lead and develop the key account team, enhancing performance through coaching and direction.
* Drive innovation that enhances regional operations and revenue generation.
* Create short- to long-term plans (1-5 years) for optimizing organizational functions and talent to execute strategies.
Requirements
* Minimum 8 years of experience in Account Management, Business Development or similar.
* Proven experience in CRM and Account Management for Major Accounts, with a strong focus on Customer Development and enhancing Customer Satisfaction.
* Demonstrated ability in Selling and Cross-Selling Strategies that effectively communicate the Customer Value Proposition and Value Added Services to clients.
* Strong negotiation skills in Contract Negotiation, with experience managing Budgets and conducting Sales Forecasting to drive Revenue Growth.
* Expertise in Business Development with a keen understanding of Market Trends and Sales Channels relevant to the logistics industry.
* Solid knowledge of DHL Business Knowledge and Business Processes to align with overall Business Strategy and drive project success.
* Proficient in Project Management and Stakeholder Management, with the ability to influence and facilitate discussions to achieve desired outcomes.
* Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills, capable of delivering impactful feedback and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
* Strong People Management and Resourcing capabilities, ensuring team alignment and performance to meet organizational goals and objectives.
* Master’s degree in business administration or a related field.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skill in English.
