You'll take responsibility for overseeing day-to-day operations, including production lines, logistics, quality control (QC), regulatory affairs, and HR / Admin functions.
This is an exciting opportunity to drive the next phase of growth and transformation, with a focus on modernising and digitalising operations to improve efficiency and effectiveness. As a hands-on leader, you will work closely with senior leadership to enhance back-office functions, instil operational excellence, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. * Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve operational efficiency and drive performance.
* Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including time to production, scrap rates, inventory levels, working capital, and demand planning.
* Champion digital transformation initiatives, including automating processes and exploring AI solutions for forecasting and production.
* Inspire and motivate the team to achieve high standards in all areas of the business, while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence.
* Take a hands-on approach to the role, rolling up your sleeves to tackle challenges and drive improvements across the site.
The person
* Proven experience in the biotech, diagnostics, or technology sectors, with a strong understanding of industry regulations and compliance.
* A track record of leading and modernising operations, ideally gained in a larger organisation, but with the ambition to build and innovate in a smaller, more agile environment.
* A respected leader who can motivate a diverse team and drive change within the business.
* Expertise in managing production sites, implementing lean strategies, and improving operational efficiencies.
* A deep understanding of production and supply chain challenges, particularly in regulated industries.
* A hands-on, solutions-focused approach, with a willingness to get involved and lead from the front.
* Fluency in German and English is required, with a good understanding of local culture and working practices.
