IN Groupe General Counsel, Cyrille Demigneux and IN Groupe DPO, Carole Pellegrino are looking for a talented Legal Counsel specialized in contracts, IT and GDPR to join the team at Nexus—paired with the exciting opportunity to take on the role of Local Data Protection Officer (DPO) for Germany and Sweden.
As Legal Counsel & Local DPO, you’ll step into a unique role at the heart of a fast-growing, international company. Based in Germany, you’ll have your home base in either our Karlsruhe or Berlin office—but your impact will be felt across our global business.

What you’ll do at Nexus
As Legal Counsel:
* Provide comprehensive and strategic advice and support across legal topics mostly concerning commercial agreements related to IT matters.
* Drive lifecycle management, including drafting, negotiating and managing various commercial contracts, with focus on IT law.
* Deal with commercial disputes resulting from contracts with clients, suppliers or agents.
* Provide hands-on guidance on Service Level Agreements, liability, and risk assessments.
As Local DPO (Data Protection Officer):
* Supervise compliance with GDPD and internal Policies within his scope of responsibility.
* Exchange and coordinate with IN Group DPO for the purpose of implementing the GDPR compliance program.
* Represent Nexus/IN Groupe in dialogue with regulators and Data Subjects when necessary.
* Educate and empower teams to incorporate privacy by design in Nexus Solutions.
About you
* You have a strong experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiation contracts and taking part in tenders.
* You have experience or genuine interest in data privacy and regulatory compliance (DPO certification is a plus, but not a must).
* Your communication skills are excellent and the confidence to share your knowledge and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* You possess strong prioritization and problem-solving skills—especially in a fast-moving, global environment.
* You pride yourself in being meticulous and detail-oriented, ensuring precision and accuracy in your work.
* You are pragmatic, curious, and solutions-oriented—able to see both the risks and the opportunities. You believe contract review and drafting as well as compliance isn’t necessarily about saying “no,” but sometimes about finding safe ways to say “yes.”
Qualifications
* You hold a relevant law degree with solid understanding of German legal frameworks.
* You are fluent in both German and English, with strong drafting and communication skills.
* Around 4+ years of experience, ideally with some time as an in-house counsel.
