TheBusiness Development Manager (M/F/D)for Cytiva is responsible for providingmulti-functional leadership and strategic direction for our cellline development business in EMEA.
This position is part ofGenomic Medicine, Viral Vector team located inUK/EU and will be fully remote. At Cytiva, ourvision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery todelivery.
What youwill do:
• This role isresponsible for business development of the Cytiva CLD offerings& will work collaboratively and closely with the global productmanagers, regional commercial teams and project managers to drivethe short- and long-term revenue and profitability of the cell linedevelopment business for viral vectors.
• Develop commercial and sales strategies,identify growth opportunities by analyzing and monitoring cell& gene therapy markets, including prospecting for new customersand establishing relationships with them, and develop businesscases for Cytiva’s innovative product portfolio.
• Develop the in-region go-to-marketstrategy and partner with marketing and commercial teams – accountmanagers, Viral Vector workflow specialists and Field ApplicationSpecialists to drive implementation. Liaise with the accountmanagers, sales specialists and field applications teams regardingthe differentiation of product offerings during the various stagesof the sales process to actively move the customer through theirdecision-making process towards a successful deal closure.
• Continually develop knowledge of products,market and industry trends, competition and customer strategies forpotential development
with theirteams.
Whoyou are
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, Masters or PhD preferred, ina Life Sciences subject and 3+ years of experience in businessdevelopment, technical sales, product management in the biotech orbiopharma industry.
• Viral Vector orCell Line Development expertise and experience with licensing dealsand/or service contracts a must.
• Excellent communication and listening skills, with aself-organized and results-driven personality.
• Strong knowledge of the cell and genetherapy markets and of products offered within the industry
• Results orientated, highly driven,self-motivated and flexible with the determination to succeedwithin a fast-paced and very sophisticated environment.
Travel,Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/EnvironmentRequirements:
* Abilityto travel 30-50% of the time depending on location withinterritory
* Must have a validdriver’s license with an acceptable drivingrecord
Itwould be a plus if you also possess previous experiencein:
* Depth oftechnical expertise in cell lines for viral vector production andAAV biology
* Experiencepresenting cell line technologies including to customer or intechnical/scientificforums
