This five star resort in Co Cork is currently recruiting an experienced and ambitious Sales Manager to proactively seek out new business opportunities and assist in the achievement of all hotel revenue and sales targets. A key focus of the role will be on managing a portfolio of international accounts in the MICE, Corporate, Agent and Leisure segments.
Day to day responsibilities will include:
1. Set objectives, goals and targets for the team with the Director of Sales
2. Achievement of all budgeted targets and goals, individual as well as departmental
3. Assist the Director of Sales in the development of the Annual Sales Plan and Budget
4. Proactively seek to achieve revenue goals in all market segments set out in the annual business plan
5. Proactively seek new business opportunities in all other market segments, ie Golf, Spa
6. Communicate and work with the Reactive Events Teams to convert business
7. Maintian active schedule of daily sales calls and weekly sales appointments
8. Account management of new and existing accounts, identifying new revenue opportunities
9. Client site inspections and fam trips
10. Act as hotel representative at trade shows (locally, nationally and internationally), networking events, award ceremonies and other business events
11. Weekly and monthly sales reports
12. Assist in the training of any new starters in Sales & Marketing or Weddings & Events
13. Assist in the Weddings & Events Department as required i.e. proposals, site inspections/wedding showarounds, follow up calls, updating Opera etc.
14. International travel required with this role
The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ previous experience in a similar sales management role within the hospitality sector, five star experience an advantage, with a third level degree in Business/ Tourism/ Hospitality/ Catering. Further candidate attributes include:
