Hauptaufgaben
Serves as Engineering Technician (Utility and Energy Monitoring and Control System (UEMCS)) working on electric, electronic, network, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, water and sewer systems to include but not limited to district heating plants, heat transfer stations, heating pipe network, building heating systems, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC), network switches and routers, cold storage and refrigeration systems, commercial power supply, high and low voltage grids, transformer stations, uninterruptible power supply and generator systems, interior and exterior lighting systems, different types of energy metering systems, potable water supply systems, drinking water wells, water treatment systems, water distribution network and storage, booster pump stations, sewage treatment plants, sewer and storm water collection systems, sewer lifting stations, pol separators, underground storage tanks, storm water retention basins, photo-voltaic systems, uninterruptible power supplies, emergency power generators and other types of electronic controlled devices or systems.
Follows pertinent regulations such as DIN, VDE, safety regulations and technical manuals.

C-06:
E&T Level I, II and III: not creditable for this occupational series
E&T Level IVB and IVC: A Meister Diploma or Staatlich gepruefter Techniker in a trades or crafts field directly related to the position; PLUS 1 year of job related experience as defined below.
E&T Level IV A and D: not creditable for positions in this occupational series. E&T Level V: Graduation from a University or equivalent, e.g., Fachhochschule, the Berufsakademie,or Technische Hochschule as Wirtschaftsingenieur, Ingenieur des Maschinenwesens, der Elekrotechnik oder des Bauwesens; no additional experience required.
Job Related Experience: Experience must be directly related to the area of specialization of the position and must be at a level of difficulty that compares to the grade of the position. Advanced journeyman trades and crafts experience that provided intensive knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, methods and precedents is a prerequisite, e.g., experience as a technician, instructor, inspector, or mechanic that shows progression in theoretical and practical knowledge of the area of specialization of the position.
• Office Automation skills are required.
• Applicant must be in the possession of a valid driver's license class B and must be able to obtain/maintain USAREUR Driver's and Military
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL

Beschäftigungsbedingungen
This is a permanent full-time position (38.5 hrs./week).
Designated duty station is at present Hohenfels. The future incumbent may be reassigned to another duty station within the same works council agency and commuting area (within the meaning of the legal ordinance on moving expense in its current version) of his/her present duty station.
• Heavy lifting up to 80 lbs required.
• The incumbent of this position is obligated to perform On Call duty.
• Occasionally TDY (temporary duty) required. Inside & Outside Germany
• Telework: Employee may perform the work at a location away from the regular worksite (e.g. at home) on a non-routine, ad-hoc basis. This includes work performed to complete a short-term special assignment or to accommodate special circumstances.
