Hauptaufgaben Develops programs that provide classroom and hands-on training for users of Transportation Motor Pool Non-Tactical Vehicles (NTV) to maximize competent and safe operation of vehicles. Updates training/training materials as necessary, to correct specific problems of drivers. Conducts driver's orientation and administers and scores written/eye tests for licensing of individuals who operate Privately Owned Vehicles in USAREUR. Trains individuals on the operation of all TMP vehicles. Illustrates and explains mechanical operation of vehicles, driving techniques and preventive maintenance. Conducts group classroom sessions on traffic, safety and special laws, regulations, accident avoidance, and requirements of the Transportation Motor Pool for operators of administrative use vehicles. Certifies personnel have met training requirements and are qualified to drive government vehicles. Conducts road tests to verify driver performance qualification of individuals applying for a government license for operation of TMP non-tactical vehicles. Observes and judges driver's competence and aptitude for handling the type of vehicle for which license is to be issued. Prepares and issues military drivers licenses. Keeps required records of training, testing, and licensing. Compiles statistical data for records. Performs other duties as assigned. Position may be filled at the C-05 or at the full performance level, C-5a.
