We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of People Operations to join our team in either Heerlen or Berlin. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HR administration, including payroll management, and a deep understanding of the regulatory environments in both Germany and the Netherlands. This role requires strong analytical and process-oriented thinking, as well as the ability to manage a team over different locations effectively.
Tasks
* Oversee all HR administration functions, including payroll, HR tools and compliance
* Ensure adherence to labour laws and regulations in Germany and the Netherlands.
* Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to support business objectives.
* Lead and develop a decentralized team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
* Analyse HR metrics and data to drive continuous improvement in HR processes.
* Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.
* Manage stakeholder relationships with internal customers and partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
* Further development of the existing HR tool and the associated processes according to the defined goals
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in HR administration, including payroll management.
* In-depth knowledge of labour laws and regulations in Germany and the Netherlands.
* Strong analytical and process-oriented thinking skills.
* Proven experience in managing a team in a remote set-up.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* High level of digital affinity and proficiency in HR software and tools, experience in Workday preferred.
* Language skills in English, German and Dutch, of which English and one of the other two languages should be fluent.
