WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT In your new role, you lead the Coatings Binder Systems unit, ensuring an enduring development pipeline, operational efficiency and strategic alignment within your area of expertise. You initiate and manage research and development projects to deliver polymers that meet the specific requirements of projects and topics within the BASF Coatings business areas. Additionally, you collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate developed polymers into relevant projects and promote a global exchange of expertise on coating relevant polymers while developing a worldwide strategy for polymer syntheses. Furthermore, you focus on employee development, succession planning, and building a robust talent pipeline for your area. You continuously develop, optimize, and automate development methods, provide consultancy for complex coatings binder questions, as well as implement new IT solutions and ensure the implementation and observance of EHSQ requirements. Contributing to innovation strategies, you identify research trends and develop ideas for product and process innovations to drive technological progress.
