The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Supervisory Telecommunications Specialist for United States Space Force (USSF)/Space Operations Command (SpOC)/Delta 8 providing operational management and technical direction support, planning, transmissions control and payload control. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Expert knowledge of satellite control procedures. Ability to conduct studies involving control aspects of satellite communications in order to make short and long range plans and improve efficiency. Expert knowledge of communications concepts and SATCOM planning and management procedures and principles in order to function as a technical authority. Skill in interpreting policy originating from higher organizational levels, in order to develop local policy and implement instructions. Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to organize work, set priorities, and determine resource requirements; determine goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinate with other organizations; monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes, and the ability to identify problems and use sound judgment and decisions to generate and evaluate alternatives and make recommendations. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
