Your new job includes
As Customs Manager (m/f/d) you will ensure an optimal concept for customs and excise duties for the Heinemann Group and ensure compliance with legal regulations as well as the reduction of the corresponding risks. In particular, you will
* develop and operate an effective authorization management system to ensure compliance with all resulting obligations and requirements
* further develop and supervise a system-based risk management system for the comprehensive review of relevant processes
* represent the department in projects and tenders on national and international levels in customs and excise matters
* implement and ensure optimizations of customs processes and secure the avoidance of breaches of the law
* monitor EU and German customs and excise legislation and independently manage correspondence with the authorities
* act as the interface for customs auditors and supervise customs audits
Preferred Profile
* Completed studies in economics or law (Master's degree or Diplom Finanzwirt comparable)
* Several years of professional experience in a customs-related environment and in contact with the relevant authorities as well as sound knowledge of EU and German customs and excise law
* Initial experience in project management and process optimization
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills and good knowledge of SAP ERP, SAP GTS and ATLAS
* Business fluent in German for communication with authorities and very good written and spoken English skills
* You have strong analytical skills and develop solutions to complex issues independently thanks to your quick comprehension skills
* You are confident in dealing with external and internal stakeholders and have experience in communicating with various hierarchical levels
