A Snapshot of Your Day:
As the principal AI research scientist in our Grid Technologies AI Lab, you’ll lead cutting-edge research that makes our vision of an autonomous power grid possible. You will combine your experience in AI research for power systems with our next-generation hardware and global power system expertise to push the envelope of what is possible in the power system of the future.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
* Craft research questions that push the boundaries of AI in power systems.
* Conduct research in physics-informed AI, Graph Neural Networks, and Large Foundation Models for power grid tasks.
* Develop and implement novel algorithms and techniques using state-of-the-art approaches.
* Collaborate with the research team and external partners to enhance research capabilities.
* Publish findings in top-tier conferences and journals, and present at industry events.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior researchers and engineers.
* Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies.
What You Bring:
* Master’s Degree or PhD (preferred) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
* Experience in AI research, focusing on novel AI techniques for power systems.
* Strong track record of published research in relevant fields.
* Proficient in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other machine learning frameworks.
* Experience optimizing machine learning workflows for GPUs.
* Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and resilience.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with mentoring experience.
