The International Expansions team is spearheading our Nearshoring initiative, focusing on enabling direct imports from Mexico into Amazon US. We are seeking a Sr. Vendor Manager to drive our cross-border supply chain operations and foster relationships with key vendors in Mexico. In this role, you will have end-to-end ownership of the import supply chain processes, from manufacturer facilities in Mexico to product availability in our US Fulfillment Centers. You will develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize customer experience while leveraging the advantages of nearshore sourcing. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can navigate the complexities of cross-border operations. Strong stakeholder management skills are crucial, as you'll collaborate with multiple teams across both countries to streamline processes and drive efficiency. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to manage all aspects of the business autonomously. You should have a bias for action, be able to make data-driven decisions quickly, and adapt to the evolving landscape of international trade. As a key player in this strategic initiative, you will contribute to Amazon's efforts to diversify its supply chain, reduce lead times, and enhance resilience through nearshoring. Your work will directly impact our ability to serve customers more efficiently and cost-effectively in the US market. Key job responsibilities Educate Vendors on Road/rail arc direct imports. Build and maintain relationships with senior leaders of partnered vendors to grow and optimize the joint import business. Develop and improve vendor relations and import sourcing for cost savings and new selection. Work with key stakeholders around the world to maintain alignment. Drive integration between new vendors and Amazon supply chain, product compliance and merchandising processes. Contribute to the development of best practices and contract standards Monitor, analyze and own key performance indicators such as vendor import share, out of stock rate, vendor operational metrics, marketing investments Work with vendors and Amazon operations to ensure a reliable, operational a cost effective flow of goods, from ordering to receive. Basic Qualifications 7 years of with Excel experience 7 years of account management, project or program management or buying experience Experience using data to influence business decisions Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration Experience with business analysis and P&L management Experience negotiating with internal and external stakeholders Experience presenting to senior leadership Bachelor's degree or certificate of completion of studies required and at least 8 years of professional background. Fluent in both, English and Spanish Preferred Qualifications Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams Experience in imports, logistics, supply chain and/or procurement a plus.
