Then come and join our global team as aPET Collaboration Scientist (f/m/d) in Molecular Imagingto work with leading academic sites in EMEA executing their research program with Siemens Healthineers’ PET systems. As member of our PET R&D team you will participate in the design and execution of collaborative projects between Siemens Healthineers and scientific partners.
Choose the best place for your work – Although the position will be based in Erlangen, Germany, within its scope, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
1. As Collaboration Scientist* you will be responsible for supporting major academic sites in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) that use Siemens Healthineers PET systems in terms of conducting scientific research
2. You will be responsible for the definition and contribute to the success of research projects between Siemens Healthineers and assigned collaborator sites
3. Your work with clinical sites is expected to lead to scientific publications, either as an author or co-author
4. You will drive the validation of technical concepts for future product integration, and continuous collection of feedback for prototypes and coordinate communication amongst the participating departments
5. You will be representing the Siemens Healthineers Molecular Imaging (MI) Business Line in international conferences where your work will be presented

Your qualifications and experience:
6. You have successfully completed a doctoral degree (PhD) in Medical Physics or similar discipline
7. After graduating from your PhD, you have gained several years of proven experience in PET imaging
8. You have also already gained solid clinical experience with PET systems
9. You show very sound knowledge of PET reconstruction. Additional experience on kinetic modelling and/or machine learning applications in medical imaging would be a major plus
10. You have experience in designing research studies and have a publication list, including co-author articles in international scientific peer-reviewed journals
11. You have experience in presenting your work in front of a scientific audience
Your attributes and skills:
12. We are working in an international environment. Therefore, very good English language knowledge is necessary. German language knowledge is also a plus

14. Your strong communication skills and can-do approach enable you to provide technical advice to key users and present your work in front of a scientific audience
15. For internal/external meetings and conferences you are willing to travel internationally up to 40% of your working time
