As Technical Lead for Flexibility Asset Trading, you will take full ownership of the technical implementation of trading logics for physical assets across multiple countries. You will act as the central point of contact between the trading teams and IT, driving the development, operationalization, and continuous improvement of related trading models.
Your Responsibilities
* Take full responsibility for the end-to-end hands-on operational implementation of trading models, from requirement gathering to production deployment while ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
* Ensure comprehensive documentation of all implemented logics, models, and operational processes.
* Align with algo traders across different countries to understand, challenge, refine and suggest new approaches for trading logics for physical assets.
* Collaborate closely with the developer lead of the virtual power plant within the team to design and define the appropriate IT architecture for implementing trading models.
* Collaborate with other IT teams working on forecasting and related short term models for trading the E.ON customer portfolio
* Lead external IT providers when required and ensure seamless integration of their deliverables.
* Act as a business analyst and project manager in different project structures around trading.
* Define and execute testing strategies to guarantee the quality and robustness of trading logics.
Your Profile
* Degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Strong technical background with hands-on experience in developing and implementing mathematical models.
* Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C#, or similar.
* Experience in business analysis, project management, and technical architecture.
* Excellent communication skills to interact with both business and technical stakeholders.
* Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
* Knowledge of the energy or commodity trading sector is a plus.
* High sense of ownership, responsibility, and drive to deliver.
