The Senior Key Account Manager (KAM) is an equal parts advisor and operatingpartner to Delivery Service Partners (DSP’s). Amazon’s team of KAMs assist andguide our DSP business owners as they build and grow successful last milepackage delivery businesses within Amazon Logistics (AMZL). The KAM will helpkick start a net new business as well as being the bastion for expectedexcellence our partners strive towards. They will guide and advise on how toimprove the businesses. The KAM will work alongside Regional on The Road (OTR)managers in areas of dual purpose related to transition of responsibility ofexecution of planning and DSP capability. The KAMs find and execute value-creation opportunities and manages the DSPrelationship across the entire lifecycle of the business, with focus areasaround DSP sentiment, safety, compliance, performance and reliable capacity.As trusted advisors, KAMs work alongside DSPs to help solve their biggestchallenges at a programmatic level; influence their business planning andstrategy; and look around corners to identify obstacles and recommendsolutions, ensuring DSP owners make effective business decisions and are setup for success, whilst working to deliver quality. The KAMs will work closely with a portfolio of owners at different stages asthey set strategy, help drive accountability and engagement, and motivate andtrack key performance metrics. They will collaborate frequently with a widearray of integrated internal stakeholders such as Partner Relations (PAR),Value Added Service (VAS), Legal, fleet and network health to name a few. TheKAM’s support owners by removing obstacles and improving financial,operational, and safety practices at the network level. They facilitate andexecute Monitoring and Enforcement Policies (MEP) and build two-way feedbackchannels with OTR teams, DSPs and WWEU Product and strategy. The KAM will be required to work flexibly and will be required to travelbetween multiple sites to engage with business owners weekly to carry outtheir role effectively. The role is field based and requires a significantlevel of travel. Key job responsibilities • Safety: Partnering with OTR Safety and OTR Regional Managers to ensurebusiness safety compliance. • Performance: Guiding owners as they scale their business and manageoperational issues, ensuring they have resources in place to effectively ramp-up operations and prepare for peak period. • Performance: Supporting owners as they onboard to the program and prepare tolaunch (this will be on the basis of a net new launch only) • Performance: Coaching business owners to run compliant, safe and highperforming companies (SLS metric deep dive) • Experience: Identifying workflow inefficiencies and working to formulate andimplement operational improvements at the network level and to improve theindividual DSP owner experience. • Experience: Developing the relationship between Amazon and our DSP partners(DSP sentiment improvements) • Experience: Communication alignment to DSP business owners following closecollaboration with OTR partners. • Be the voice of the DSP within and represent them within the AMZL business. • Coach and ensure effective upskilling and utilization of tools. • Deep dive to identify customer metric improvement opportunities. • Champion the consistent application of Last Mile processes within DeliveryStations – challenge UTR processes that impact OTR. • Improve driver standards to protect brand image A day in the life You’ll be based at one of our sites. Being on site allows you to stay close toevery part of the delivery process and means you have visibility of everythingto guide our logistics partners. You’ll look after all elements of our partnerrelationships, from getting the contracts in place to keeping track ofperformance. This role is all about clear communication. A fluent level of German (written& spoken) are needed for the role. You’ll be in daily contact with thepartners you manage to make sure they have everything they need to carry outdeliveries on time. We look for new ways to overcome industry widelogistics challenges and new ideas to reduce our carbon footprint, supportedby a portfolio of cutting-edge vehicles (including Electric Vehicles) andtechnology to help us do just that. ### BASIC QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelors degree. • Experience: Prior professional experience in Operations, Last Mile oraccount or relationship management, small business logistics, orretailvendorsupplier management. • Experience working with third party resources on a regionalnational scale. • Experience working with a contingent workforce in a business with peakseasons. • Strong analytical capability track record of digging into data and findingsolutions for a variety of operational problems. • Flexibility to work occasional non standard working hours as businessdemands during peak periods. • C1+ level of English and German. ### PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Experience leading process improvements through Lean process, Kaizen, andSix Sigma. • Experience project planning in ambiguous environment • Strong communication (public speaking and writing). • Enjoys analytical work and using data to provide thought-provoking andworkable solutions. • Proven experience of helping teams achieving goals.
