About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Site Technician to oversee daily operations at our data center. This role is critical for monitoring alarms, coordinating vendor repairs, managing incident responses, and ensuring the facility operates smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a strong facility management background and the ability to work independently while ensuring high service levels.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor critical systems for alarms and ensure the secure and stable operation of the facility.
* Activate third-party vendors for repairs and maintenance tasks.
* Request budgets for necessary repairs and verify vendor reports.
* Update and close service tickets in a timely manner.
* Inform customers about ongoing incidents and resolutions.
* Handle facility-related incidents by troubleshooting or coordinating with specialized vendors.
* Analyze problems, identify errors, and manage third-party service providers.
* Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (one week at a time) to respond to urgent alarms remotely or on-site.
* Perform administrative tasks related to facility operations and vendor management.
* Support remote hands activities by following detailed instructions from IT teams.
* Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
* Act as part of the operations team, by informing, helping and consulting when needed
What We’re Looking For
* Background in data centers or industries with critical mechanical/electrical systems (e.g., Oil & Gas, offshore, maritime industry, or high risk environments)
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical issues.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation.
* Basic mechanical/electrical understanding.
* Ability to manage workload independently and take initiative.
* Fluency in English is a must, German is a great plus
