Job Summary:
Manages Supply and Logistics operations, covering materials planning, inventory control, warehousing, operational procurement and shipping. Involved with procurement, sales and production planning to focus on delivery performance, costs and continuous improvement of processes according to customer needs.
Responsibilities:
Material Management
* Develop and implement material planning processes
* Plan/manage supply and replenishment methods
* Implementing material management procedures
* Ensure material availability
Logistics
* Management of warehouse and shipping
* Plan/manage inventory and inventory turnover
* Establish and develop stock management / warehousing systems
* Manage internal material transport including line feeding
* Ensure compliance with customs and general legal requirements
* Optimization of inventory activities and improvement of inventory accuracy
Suppliers
* Initiating actions in case of shortages/material bottlenecks
* Recommending cost reductions/quality improvements
* Visiting suppliers
Communication / General tasks
* Ensuring and improving EHS standards
* Preparation of statistics/analyses and reports
* Management/development of direct employees
* Supporting lean processes and changes at the site through leading productivity projects
* Internal reporting to the senior leadership team
Qualifications:
* Min 5 years’ experience in logistics, procurement, inventory control, scheduling, preferably in a global manufacturing environment
* Ability to effectively work together with all levels of management
* Must be analytical and have strong problem-solving skills
* Must have 2+ years supervisory experience
