About the Role As Community Manager, you’ll be the heart and soul of our online community. You’ll be responsible for fostering engagement, building relationships, and creating a vibrant space where our community can connect, learn and grow. You will work closely with teams across the PAN organization in 9 countries, including to support engagement across their communities of medical students, university campuses, doctors, dietitians and health professionals. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the public discourse on food systems, human health, and climate change and to contribute to global efforts to create a healthier, more sustainable world for all. Key responsibilities Community Building, Engagement and Moderation Cultivate a strong, active, and engaged online community through strategic planning, content creation, and active participation. Membership Coordination Oversee membership recruitment, retention and growth. Manage member databases and provide excellent member support. Global Engagement, Events and Connection Foster connections with global teams and coordinate international events. Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, partners, collaborators and influencers to expand the community’s reach and impact. Analytics and Reporting Track key community metrics, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to optimize strategies and measure success. Requirements Experience & Qualifications Proven experience in community management or a related field. Experience working within the nonprofit sector, global health, food security, or climate change. Good understanding of the connections between human health, food systems, and climate change. Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in digital tools for engagement and community management with a willingness to adapt to new tools. Strong organizational skills and time management skills. Personal Attributes Passionate about our planet and human health Creative, strategic thinker with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong cross-cultural communication skills and experience working in diverse, global teams. Fluency in English is required; additional languages (e.g. Spanish, German, French, or Arabic) are a plus.
