A leading Tier 1 automotive supplier is looking for a Program Director to lead an international initiative focused on advancing driver assistance technologies. This role will oversee a large-scale, multi-site program aimed at enhancing both driving and parking functions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee complex ADAS development – Lead the design and integration of driver assistance systems in collaboration with engineering teams and suppliers.
* Program leadership & decision-making – Define the program's overall direction, oversee project portfolios, track KPIs, and make strategic decisions.
* Manage program changes – Implement structured change management processes to control scope, schedule, and budget adjustments.
* Stakeholder & customer communication – Act as the primary customer interface, ensuring alignment and strong relationships with OEM partners.
* Ensure ASPICE compliance – Drive adherence to ASPICE L2/L3 standards for system, hardware, and software development.
* Resolve project issues proactively – Identify and address potential roadblocks, resource constraints, and risks.
* Cross-functional coordination – Manage and delegate across engineering, finance, and commercial teams to ensure seamless execution.
* Full budget responsibility – Oversee program financials to ensure profitability and alignment with business objectives.
* Team leadership & development – Guide, mentor, and develop program team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
Required Skills & Experience:
* 10+ years of experience in program/project management within the automotive or technology sector.
* Proven ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional programs in a high-paced, complex business environment.
* Experience managing program teams of 200+ employees (functional leadership).
* Strong leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with a results-driven approach.
* Expertise in ADAS technologies, systems engineering, and automotive development cycles.
* Familiarity with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and Agile methodologies.
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage OEM stakeholders up to department lead level.
* Fluency in English; German is a plus.
