About the job As the Head of Pricing & Profitability, you will be a key member of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) organization. You will lead and develop a team of pricing professionals, fostering their professional and personal growth through regular feedback, training, and coaching. Your primary goal will be to ensure the team achieves the company's pricing and profitability targets while continuously developing innovative approaches to optimize pricing strategies. This position is part of the PLM management team and reports directly to the Vice President. Your Responsibilities End-to-End Pricing Management: Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of pricing strategies across the business. Ensure consistent and effective pricing practices that align with company goals and market dynamic. Identify and execute activities to support our short- and long-term growth and profitability objectives Commercial Pricing Management: Monitor and evaluate the commercial pricing performance, support pricing decisions for optimal outcome and identifying areas for improvement. Provide ongoing analysis and reporting to senior management to track the impact of pricing strategies on revenue, margin, and market competitiveness. Manage strategic customer pricing for both direct customers and channel partners Product pricing: Set value-based price for products, considering a premium brand positioning. Provide product profitability analysis for the internal stakeholders, supporting actions to increase profitability Price List Development : Manage the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of price lists for all products and services. Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate pricing information is always up to date Discount Management: Develop and set discount structures that align with our commercial strategy while maintaining profitability. Ensure that discounts are applied consistently and appropriately based on customer needs, volume, and contract terms Competitive Market Analysis: Conduct regular market research to understand competitor pricing strategies, industry trends, and customer preferences. Utilize this information to refine and adjust pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness and maximize profitability Collaboration with Sales and Marketing Teams: Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to align pricing decisions with broader business objectives. Ensure that pricing strategies support sales efforts and drive long-term customer relationships Pricing Systems and Tools Optimization: Lead the integration and optimization of pricing software and tools, ensuring streamlined pricing workflows and enhanced decision-making capabilities Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to internal teams on pricing strategies, tools, and processes to ensure alignment and consistency in pricing decisions across the company Your Profile Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred) Proven experience (5 years) in a senior pricing or commercial role, preferably within the manufacturing or B2B industry Strong knowledge of pricing strategy, financial analysis and pricing models Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Familiarity with pricing software/tools and ERP systems Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day operational details Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across departments High level of attention to detail and accuracy in decision-making Recruiting manager Klas Tübinger (VP Product Management and R&D) How to apply Click apply and include your resume and cover letter in English.
