TheBusiness Development Manager OEM Dye Business is responsible forbuilding and maintaining strong relationships with OriginalEquipment Manufacturers (OEMs), identifying and developing newbusiness opportunities to integrate our fluorescent dyes into theirproducts.
You will be required to stay abreast ofindustry trends, and market developments, while meeting ambitioussales targets and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Yourability to adapt, innovate, and drive strategic initiatives will becrucial in mastering these challenges and contributing to LeicaMicrosystems' continuedsuccess.
This position reportsto the Director Commercial Product Management LSASand is part of the Product Commercializationlocated in our Business Unit and andwill be fully remote inGermany.
In thisrole, you will have the opportunityto:
* Develop and implementstrategic business development plans to achieve companygoals.
* Identify and pursue new businessopportunities with OEMs and other potential partners, negotiatecontracts and agreements and build and maintain strongrelationships with existing and potentialcustomers.
* Conduct market research to identifytrends and opportunities in the fluorescence dye industry, join keyevents and exhibitions to connect to expandnetwork.
* Collaborate with the broadercommercial organization and R&D teams to develop effectivesales strategies and increase share gain and customersatisfaction.
* Monitor and report on salesperformance, providing regular updates to senior management, anddevelop and deploy activities to meet and exceedtargets.
Theessential requirements of the jobinclude
* Degree inBiochemistry or Molecular Biology
* Strong yearsof experience in the biochemical markets or a related field, with apreference of selling into fluorescent dyeindustry.
* Proven track record in businessdevelopment or sales with the ability to develop and executestrategic business plans, understand market dynamics, and driverevenue growth.
* Experience in identifying andpursuing new business opportunities, building customerrelationships, and achieving sales targets especially in workingwith OEMs, understanding the dynamics of working with OriginalEquipment Manufacturers and integrating products into theirsystems
* Fluency in English andGerman
Travel,Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/EnvironmentRequirements: if applicable forrole
* Ability to travel – atleast 50% of time (mostly Europe and US)
* Musthave a valid driver’s license with an acceptable drivingrecord
Itwould be a plus if you also possess previous experiencein:
* OEM Sales or businessdevelopment experience in organic fluorescent dyesbusiness
* Understanding of how fluorescence dyesare used and integrated into products, enabling effectivecommunication with technical teams andcustomers.
