Apply Now Job Opening - Title: Staging Operation Technician - Location: Miesau Germany - Start Date: December 2024 - Job-Type: Full Time Job Overview The United States Army Medical Materiel Center-Europe's (USAMMCE) mission is to provide the best medical logistics support to the U.S. European Command. USAMMCE's missions include out-of-sector support to the Department of State Humanitarian Assistance Program, the U.S. Central Command in Southwest Asia, and AFRICOM. The Staging Operation Technician shall perform Property Book, Unit Supply and warehouse management functions to prepare LIS, TELS, COTS/IT equipment for issue, receiving, storage, and turn-in utilizing Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A), a Government-furnished automated property management system. Qualifications - Education/Degree: High school diploma or equivalent - Experience: - GCSS-A Property Book, Unit Supply (combined in one application module) training certificate from Army-recognized training facility (like Vilseck CATC), or GCSS-A Program Manager (New Equipment Training) provided 40 hours course. - Minimum of two (2) years experience within the last (5) years in Property Book, Unit Supply, and warehouse operations and functions. - Knowledge and Skills: - Possess or obtain a valid forklift license for an electrical 4.5 metric ton Forklift and Stock Selector. - Able to obtain and maintain a background check either through the Host Nation or the U.S. system. - Able to lift a minimum of 70.5 pounds (32 kilos) - Able to read, write, speak, and understand English Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): - Property Accountability. Utilize GCSS-Army and equipment provided to receive, issue, inspect, inventory, and store equipment. - Inventory. Conduct the required inventories, process the inventories in GCSS-Army, and file the inventory documents once completed. - Turn in to DLA-DS. Process LIS, TELS, and COTS/IT equipment in GCSS-Army for turn-in to Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) - Disposition Services. Prepare DD Form 1348-1A with serial numbers of LIS, Tactical Enterprise, TELS, and COTS/IT equipment for all items for turn-in, ensuring the equipment meets all DLA-DS turn-in requirements, such as removing hard drives from computers. Label equipment with DLA 2500 Form to turn in and validating the requirements are met. - Documentation. Validate equipment serial numbers and make sure the correct serial numbers are added to the appropriate system for accountability. Upon completion of each work day, provide a daily activity register that includes all transactions completed in the GCSS-A system. Conduct inventories accurately and process the counts in GCSS-Army and file the inventory worksheets. - Warehouse operations. Load and unload equipment to and from transporters and move materials to and from storage locations in the warehouse. - Shipment. Ship equipment using RFID tags for each shipment while properly packaging the equipment to prevent loss or damage. - Supply Operations. Request, order, issue, and receipt supplies through GCSS-Army.
