About the role As our new Head of Local Marketing in Europe, you'll be a driving force behind building the largest community of cycling and outdoor enthusiasts across the continent. Together with your team, you'll develop and execute impactful local marketing strategies and campaigns that are perfectly aligned with our company growth strategy and ambitious growth goals. This includes orchestrating advertising and influencer marketing initiatives, forging strategic partnerships, and implementing impactful PR campaigns. You’ll inspire and guide a squad of experienced and highly motivated Country Marketing Managers, Community Managers, PR and partnership experts. As team lead for our talented Country Marketing Managers, you’ll foster their personal and professional growth through mentorship and leadership. What you’ll do Strategic Leadership Develop local marketing strategies: Partner with Country Marketing Managers to develop and implement localized marketing strategies and campaigns that address the unique needs and opportunities of each European market. This includes conducting thorough market research, identifying growth opportunities, and staying abreast of local trends. Overseeing marketing campaigns: Support your squad members with planning and executing various marketing activities, impactful advertising and influencer marketing campaigns, engaging experiential marketing activations, strategic partnerships, and compelling PR initiatives. Manage marketing budgets: Strategically allocate marketing budgets to maximize the impact and return on investment of local marketing initiatives across Europe. Performance analysis & optimization: Continuously monitor and analyze key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. Use data-driven insights to make necessary adjustments and optimize strategies for the best results. Team Leadership & Mentoring Cultivate a thriving team: Foster a positive and productive work environment. Provide guidance, support, and feedback to the Country Marketing Managers team. Mentorship & growth: Champion the professional development of each team member. You’ll be successful in this role if you Extensive marketing experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in marketing, with a significant portion focused on relevant marketing tactics (paid media/advertising, influencer marketing, event sponsorships, strategic partnerships, PR). A proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, preference, and growth. Deep understanding of European outdoor markets: Demonstrated knowledge of the diverse outdoor and cycling landscapes across European countries. Experience adapting marketing strategies to resonate with local audiences and achieve success in various markets. Passion for cycling & the outdoors: A genuine enthusiasm for cycling and outdoor activities, with an understanding of the community and its values. This passion will be instrumental in authentically connecting with the target audience and driving brand advocacy. Strong leadership & team management skills: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and mentor high-performing marketing teams. Experience fostering a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages growth, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
