Project Description
The energy grid is changing drastically. Therefore, Klient's is modernizing their IT landscape for central and decentralized environments to host the applications of the future. This project will define the requirements, design the architecture and design the operation of all IT and OT components required for the future energy grid substations and build a proof-of-concept (PoC). The IT of the future will create a state-of-the-art environment which supports the business and must consider the business and legal requirements while is has a strong connection to the existing IT landscape. We are looking for talented, experienced and motivated colleagues joining this team to work in this multi-dimensional project.
Position Description
The "Compute and Storage Architect" will design the Klient's target Compute and Storage layout to be installed in the data centers and edge locations and which will host the target applications. Them must work with the current IT and business to understand the actual way of working. On the other hand, the requirements of the target landscape must be gathered and are the input for the future design. Based on this diverse requirement the target compute and storage design has to be build in an aligned process with architect team of the project. The design will be validated with a proof of concept. The new architecture is the starting point for the future Klient's IT. This starting point has to be supported with enhancement of IT operation. The future IT operation has to be aligned with the technical requirements. Therefore, the Compute and Storage architect will work with the project team and the actual operation team to develop the future operation approach. As the project is working in a swift manner, the Compute and Storage Architect feels comfortable taking on tasks outside the defined core competencies and is open to creating the necessary communication channels to deliver a successful project
Targets in that Position
Technical experience: He will develop the Compute and Storage layer of the target Klient's IT solution. He will deliver this jointly with all architects of the named project and the current IT team. Operational experience: The Compute and Storage architect supports from his technology perspective the development of the target operating model. Quality assurance: A key success factor is the quality of the results. The candidate has a strong focus on quality of the expected outcome. He demonstrates the experience how the required quality will be achieved. Effective Collaboration and Communication: The Compute and Storage Architect does have the capability to explain technical requirements properly. He has an open mindset to collaborate within technical alignments about known risk and issues. He will establish the required communication channels to make his part of the project successful. Self-Organization: The Compute and Storage Architect has the capability to organize the work handed over according to prioritization and complexity. He tracks the status and reports actively risks, issues and expected delays. In case further information is required, he will actively investigate to find the relevant contact and start resolving the issue in line with the project guidelines. Integration into processes. The Compute and Storage Architect Lead follows the designed processes to achieve successful work and collaboration as well as detailed documentation.
