What are my responsibilities?
1. Determining internal audit scope and develop risk-based annual audit plans
2. Analyze internal policies, rules and processes in the organization, including risk management and internal control system in regard to operations effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
3. Obtain, analyze and evaluate process documentations, reports, data, flowcharts etc. and propose improvements to gain efficiency
4. Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
5. Regular financial review of smaller subsidiaries
6. Prepare and present an annual audit plan as well as internal audit reports to the Audit Committee
7. Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and achievement
8. Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions
9. Organize teams (including internal and external resources) for onsite audits on special tasks
10. Collaboration with Corporate Finance, e.g. internal control system, risk report
11. Support Corporate Compliance in whistleblower case investigations
12. Assistance in Group projects
What do I need to qualify for this job?
1. Master in Economics, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor or similar and strong background in Financial management
2. Proven working experience as Internal Auditor or Senior Auditor (Consulting)
3. Several years of experience working in producing industry (ideally with technical products)
4. International experiences in similar functions
5. Excellent ability to recognize fundamental and business contexts
6. Ability to quickly grasp situations / problems, gain an overview and suggest solutions
7. Basic knowledge of accounting according to IFRS
8. Good analytical and logical thinking skills and a pragmatic way of working
9. Ability to convince and assertiveness
10. Skills in strategic project management and strong entrepreneurial thinking
11. Strong knowledge of SAP FI/CO and MS Office products, knowledge of CCH Tagetik is an advantage
12. Independent way of working, assertiveness, flexibility, resilience
13. Very good oral and written knowledge of German and English, other foreign languages are an asset
14. Good communication, presentation and teamwork skills at all hierarchical levels
15. Proven acumen of working with Group Management and Board of Directors
16. Willingness and initiative to continuously educate oneself in order to stay up to date regarding rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards
17. Likes to work in multi-dimensional structures (regional organization and global product and technology as well as Sales & Service organization)
