Within Software and advisory (S&A) services, UL Solutions’ Enterprise Sustainability business focuses on solving some of the most pressing world challenges - renewables, energy transition, sustainability, health & wellbeing, return to work and people safety. We do this through Renewable Energy Advisory and Digital Services, Environmental, Health and Safety Software & Learning programs, best in class Sustainability and ESG reporting software with UL 360, advisory services, subject matter experts and Healthy Buildings testing and verification. Specifically in this role, you will focus on selling UL’s suite of Product Compliance solutions for the Supply Chain. This includes leading Chemical Data management solutions such as Wercs Studio, ChemAdvisor, and Supply Chain Network. This will involve understanding the needs of clients & prospects exposed to the risk of regulatory non-compliance for topics such as PFAS, and being able to articulate the value proposition for each of UL’s software and advisory solutions in this domain Responsibilities REMOTE role. We are looking for someone who: Serves as the main point of client contact for speciality Software products/services throughout the sales cycle Maintains ongoing relationships after the initial sale has closed to convert software renewals effectively Specific to the customer’s current technology platforms and systems, communicates the value proposition of assigned speciality products/services to clients based on highly technical knowledge Actions on opportunities to sell speciality Software products/services Works with account managers on discovery and opportunity identification for assigned speciality products/services Collaborates with the Scoping Team in gathering customer requirements Brings in additional technical resources (e.g., engineers) when needed to support sales opportunities of assigned speciality products/services Provides input to the account owner during the account planning process on potential growth opportunities within the assigned solution area Makes connections and builds trusted advisor status with relevant account owners Supports smooth hand-off of customers to implementation teams or E&A customer success post-sale Supports development of Global Account Manager and Strategic Account Manager multi-year account plans in Software by providing insight on area of specialization (specific product/service) Contributes to the development of strategy for their assigned specialized Software products/services by providing input on customer needs, pain points, trends, etc. to product /service manager Maintains ongoing plan to prioritize a portfolio of accounts and maintain relationships throughout the year, identifying opportunities for software renewal Under moderate guidance, performs product demos and advises customers on how to integrate software into an existing IT environment Uses technical credibility to build relationships with buyers and centres of influence, in support of GAM, SAM and Key Account Managers (serving Global accounts) Works under moderate guidance of the sales leadership on proposals and closings in the field for assigned speciality product/service sales as directed by GAM, SAM or regionally focused Global support KAM Works collaboratively with Enterprise Account teams (GAMs, SAMs, KAMs) to introduce our software products within verticals Qualifications The ideal candidate would be keen to work for an International company such as UL Solutions to explore the experience of corporate business. You should be willing to learn new technical concepts and be able to implement them. You will also have the following: Essential skills: Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and German (Native/Highest Professional Level) Solid understanding of software products (Software as a Service) Business acumen and a deep understanding of business sales processes, ideally with a consultative sales background Knowledge or interest in environmental sustainability, chemical engineering, or a combination of products and services in these fields would be a distinct advantage. Ability to demonstrate software products or to quickly learn this skill Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), and CRM software Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in Sustainability, Chemical Engineering, OHS/EHS or related field (e.g. Business Studies, Software) What you’ll experience working at UL: Mission: For UL, corporate and social responsibility isn’t new.
