YOUR TASKS:
* Conduct literature research on 3D mapping and localization for mobile autonomous robots
* Select relevant methods for investigation based on a well-founded rationale
* Implement selected methods for the provided hardware, adapt them, or further develop them
* Design and conduct experiments to compare different approaches
* Evaluate the selected methods
* Document your results in detail
YOUR PROFILE:
* Enrolled in a degree program in Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
* Strong programming skills in C++
* Ideally, knowledge in laser measurement technology, mathematical optimization, or cartography
* (Very) good English skills
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Independent and structured working style
