Your mission
The Michelberger Hotel & Restaurant hosts and serves Berliners and their guests since 2009.
Our Team creates a wide array of experiences tailored to the needs and desires of the occasion across a variety of hotel rooms, event & public spaces. In our restaurant, café/bar we serve the best local produce, sourced from a sustainable network of farmers, hunters and suppliers we trust, as well as from our own Michelberger Farm, a food forest in the Spreewald/Brandenburg.
The Michelberger Family additionally includes the ORA Restaurant, Bistro THEKE, MXPSM Distillery, the PEOPLE Festivals as well as the Beverage company Fountain of Youth.
Your duties
* Overseeing the Management of operations from Monday to Sunday evening Service in Bar, Restaurant and events
* Build an overall ' one team ' in all evening departments to work cohesively and efficiently
* work close together with the service Supervisor & Head Bartender
* Optimise and control service standards
* Duty planning & holiday planning across departments
* Liaise closely with Wine Consultant & Sommelier, Kitchen, Daytime Service Manager, Event Sales & Controlling
* Staff management & development
* Responsible for training/cross training between all departments
* Regular team meetings & clear communication
* Reservations management for the evening
Your profile
* Great pleasure in team leadership and teamwork
* Professional and friendly demeanour in dealing with guests and colleagues
* Host from the heart
* 'strategic mind' in regards of forward planning with the team & operational management
* High ability to implement plans and strategies for the benefit of the company in terms of turnover, team development and guests.
* At least 2-3 years of professional experience in a managerial role, across departments
* At least 2-3 years of experience in upscale gastronomy
* Working to the needs of the company and contributing to the development and growth of the food and beverage department
* Understanding of IT programs: Duty scheduling systems, reservation programs, digital personnel files, applicant management programs
* German (min. B2) & English fluent

About us
The Michelberger Hotel & Restaurant is a metropolitan oasis of recreation, togetherness and pleasure in the heart of Berlin. Founded and directed by Nadine and Tom Michelberger. The Michelberger includes a regenerative farm in the Spreewald, the ORA restaurant, the Theke Imbiss, the MXPSM spirits manufactory, the PEOPLE Festival and the Fountain of Youth coconut water.
Since 15 years, the Michelberger is a vibrant human centered place serving and hosting people, a social space for the multitude of work and leisure travel occasions. Grown out of Berlin's cultural landscape, the Michelberger is constantly evolving with the people and stories that this hotel life writes.
